President Masoud Pezeshkian calls for Iranian solidarity on International Quds Day, emphasizing unity in support of Palestine. The General Staff of Armed Forces and Brigadier General Esmaeil Qa’ani reiterated commitment to resistance against Zionism and oppression, reflecting Iran’s ongoing support for the Palestinian people amidst ongoing conflict.

President Masoud Pezeshkian has urged the Iranian nation to exhibit unity and solidarity on the forthcoming International Quds Day. He expressed that a strong public presence on this day would reinforce the Islamic Republic’s steadfast allegiance to the Palestinian cause. In his remarks at the opening Cabinet meeting of the new Iranian calendar year, he stated, “I hope that with the widespread presence of the people, we will have a glorious Quds Day ahead.”

International Quds Day, initiated by the late Imam Khomeini, is commemorated annually on the last Friday of Ramadan. This day serves as a platform for Muslims and advocates of freedom globally to voice their backing for the Palestinian people and denounce the Israeli occupation and aggression toward Palestinians.

In support of this call, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic released a statement encouraging free nations, particularly Muslims, to engage actively in Quds Day activities. The statement emphasized the significance of the day as a symbol of resistance against oppression worldwide, specifically condemning the actions of the Israeli regime. It stated, “The International Quds Day is the day when free nations and Muslims of the world take the stage against the oppression, tyranny, and wickedness of the Zionist regime and its supporters.”

The statement also highlighted the origins of Quds Day in Imam Khomeini’s leadership, marking it as a symbol of resistance against global dominance led by the United States. The General Staff condemned the inhumane actions committed by the “illegitimate regime” and reaffirmed that the Palestinian struggle would not cease until the liberation of al-Quds and the annihilation of the Zionist regime.

Brigadier General Esmaeil Qa’ani, commander of the Quds Force, reiterated Iran’s unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian liberation cause. During the “Manbar al-Quds” program, he praised Hamas’ 2023 Operation al-Aqsa Storm as a manifestation of collaboration between various resistance factions and asserted continued Iranian support until al-Quds is liberated. Furthermore, Hamas declared their rejection of any attempts for the forced displacement of Palestinians, stating, “We state it clearly: No migration except to al-Quds.”

In conclusion, President Masoud Pezeshkian has called for a display of unity from the Iranian people on International Quds Day to reinforce support for Palestine. This day, established by Imam Khomeini, symbolizes resistance against the Israeli occupation and oppression. The General Staff of the Armed Forces and Brigadier General Esmaeil Qa’ani echoed this sentiment, emphasizing Iran’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and resistance until the liberation of al-Quds is achieved.
