In a separate development, Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi met with Pakistan’s Chargé d’Affaires, expressing concern over the treatment of Afghan refugees. He condemned the forced deportations and described the actions as provocative, calling for cessation of such measures. The Pakistani diplomat acknowledged these concerns and agreed to relay them to relevant officials.

Following the initiation of deportations of undocumented Afghans by Pakistan, the government has also started repatriating those with Afghan Citizen Cards, justifying its actions as necessary due to unable to indefinitely accommodate these individuals.
