Bilawal Bhutto Zardari criticizes India for undermining peace efforts initiated by Trump. He emphasizes Pakistan’s commitment to dialogue regarding the Kashmir issue and condemns India’s use of terrorism in foreign policy. Bilawal calls for resolution of disputes through peaceful negotiation and warns against threats to water supplies to Pakistan.

In a press conference held in London on Wednesday, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party and leader of a parliamentary delegation, criticized India for what he termed propaganda and lies aimed at undermining peace efforts, particularly those initiated by former U.S. President Donald Trump. He asserted that while India’s narrative was rooted in deception, Pakistan stood firm on a foundation of truth and aspirations for peace.

Bilawal condemned India’s use of terrorism as a strategy of foreign policy, highlighting the targeting of Sikh activists globally by Indian agencies. He expressed disappointment that the Indian government appeared to be sabotaging opportunities for dialogue that could facilitate peace between Pakistan and India, despite President Trump’s previous offers of mediation.

He welcomed a statement from the U.S. State Department that reiterated Trump’s willingness to address the Kashmir issue and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to resolving conflicts through diplomacy and dialogue. “Pakistan has always sought peace through dialogue and diplomacy,” he said, emphasizing the necessity of negotiations to address outstanding matters, including Jammu and Kashmir.

Bilawal further remarked that enduring peace would benefit not just Pakistan and India but also the international community. He criticized India for its inability to present credible evidence backing its allegations of terrorism against Pakistan, insisting, “Despite our continuous demands, India has not been able to prove any of its claims.”

He strongly reaffirmed, “India knows well that Pakistan has no links with terrorism. Its efforts to malign us will fail, and we will continue to pursue peace in the region.” His remarks underscored Pakistan’s desire for dialogue to resolve disputes, including water issues and the Kashmir conflict.

Additionally, Bilawal noted President Trump’s recognition of the necessity for dialogue on Kashmir, urging the U.S. to encourage India to engage in negotiations. He condemned India’s alleged campaign against Sikh communities abroad and criticized its role in terrorism within Pakistan. “We call on India to stop sponsoring terrorism beyond its borders,” he added, before cautioning that threats to manipulate water supplies to Pakistan contravene the UN Charter.

Reflecting on Pakistan’s recent security advancements amidst conflicts, Bilawal declared, “The recent conflict has shown that even as a smaller nation, Pakistan has the strength to defend itself on all fronts.”

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s comments underscore Pakistan’s ongoing call for dialogue and peace in the face of rising tensions with India. He expressed discontent with India’s international narrative while reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to resolving disputes through peaceful means. With calls for international mediation and India’s alleged missteps, the prospect for a diplomatic solution remains uncertain as both nations navigate complex and fraught relations.
