Both parties expressed satisfaction at co-hosting the first-ever Africa-India Maritime Exercise scheduled for April 2025.

They also deliberated the need for establishing a Joint Commission to further solidify military engagement.
The meeting with Zambia’s Minister of Defence, Ambrose Lwiji Lufuma, focused on advancing bilateral defence cooperation. Topics included capacity building and UN peacekeeping missions, along with an agreement to expedite the establishment of a Joint Defence Cooperation Committee.
