Warner Music Names Tomás Talarico as New Managing Director for Southern Cone

Warner Music Group has appointed Tomás Talarico as the new managing director of Warner Music Southern Cone, succeeding Guillermo Castellani, who is transitioning to a consultant role. Talarico, founder of the successful independent label MOJO, brings substantial industry experience. Alejandro Duque praised both Talarico’s innovative approach and Castellani’s contributions to the company.
Warner Music Group announced a significant leadership change in its division responsible for Argentina and Chile. Tomás Talarico has been appointed as the new managing director of Warner Music Southern Cone, effective immediately, succeeding Guillermo Castellani, who will remain as a consultant during the transition. Talarico will report directly to Alejandro Duque, the president of Warner Music Latin America.
Talarico brings a wealth of industry experience, having founded MOJO in 2014, which has become influential in the tropical and urban music sectors across Argentina, Chile, and Peru. Under his management, MOJO has collaborated with around 150 artists and labels, achieving considerable success with over 50 Gold and Platinum certified singles as well as winning numerous awards, including eight Gardel Awards and two Pulsar Awards.
Throughout his distinguished career, Talarico has nurtured emerging artists such as ECKO, Grupo Zumbale Primo, and Kaleb Di Masi. His contributions to the music scene include pivotal involvement in the highly successful Spotify project, Un Poco de Ruido, and his musical endeavors as a guitarist and singer-songwriter.
Prior to establishing MOJO, Talarico was at the forefront of digital music distribution, contributing to the rise of MP3 and ringtone sales. He also served as a supervisor at Tower Records, showcasing his early commitment to the music industry.
Alejandro Duque commended Talarico for his innovative approach to marrying music and technology, enhancing the support for artists. He also acknowledged Castellani’s instrumental role in advancing the careers of prominent Warner artists like Maria Becerra and Tiago PZK.
