During discussions with Ethiopian Defence Minister Aisha Mohammed, the ministers expressed optimism regarding the expanding defence relationship. They formalized their cooperation through an MoU, addressing military training, peacekeeping initiatives, and capacity-building for Ethiopia’s military. The leaders also underscored the contribution of India’s private sector to further enhance collaboration within the defence industry.
In his meeting with Yemen’s Defence Minister, Lt. Gen. Mohsen Mohammed Hussein Al Daeri, Minister Singh aimed to bolster military training and capacity-building efforts. The discussions served as a pathway to deepen defence ties and provide strategic guidance for future initiatives within the partnership.
Engaging with Gambian Defence Minister Sering Modou Njie, both leaders reiterated their dedication to fostering defence cooperation. Finally, the bilateral talks with Gabonese Defence Minister Brigitte Onkanowa centered on strengthening defence cooperation. The ministers committed to improving training and capabilities for Gabon’s Armed Forces and explored avenues for collaboration within the defence industry sector.
