Egypt Affirms Support for Lebanon’s New Government Following Parliamentary Confidence

Egypt has pledged continued support for Lebanon’s new government after it garnered parliamentary confidence. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry emphasized this development’s importance for restoring security and sovereignty in Lebanon. Egypt also condemned Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty and reiterated its support for implementing the ceasefire agreement in southern Lebanon.

On February 27, 2025, Egypt expressed its support for Lebanon’s new government after it secured parliamentary confidence. The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs recognized this development as crucial for restoring security and stability in Lebanon, while safeguarding its sovereignty.
