Egypt Affirms Support for Lebanon’s New Government Amid Political Transition

Egypt has pledges its support for Lebanon’s new government following its parliamentary confidence vote. The endorsement aims to restore stability and security in Lebanon, with commitments to reform and reinforce the national army. Egypt also condemned Israeli violations of sovereignty, underscoring the need for adherence to Resolution 1701.

On February 27, 2025, Egypt expressed its support for Lebanon’s newly formed government, which received a vote of confidence from the parliament. The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared this development as crucial to restoring security, stability, and the national sovereignty of Lebanon.
