Iran has unveiled the first video footage of the container ship MSC Aries, which is linked to Israel and was seized by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on April 13, 2024, in the Strait of Hormuz. The ship, owned by Zodiac Maritime and registered under the Portuguese flag, was captured during a precision heliborne operation by IRGC forces. Alongside the vessel, all 24 crew members were also detained during the incident.
The extraction of the MSC Aries was executed in a highly coordinated military maneuver, reflecting Iran’s strategic capabilities in monitoring crucial maritime passages, particularly in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
