Kyrgyzstan’s Greco-Roman Wrestling Team Achieves Third Place in Tirana

Kyrgyzstan’s Greco-Roman wrestling team secured third place at a recent tournament in Tirana. Highlights included gold medals for Razzak Beishekeev and Yryskeldi Maksatbek uulu, a silver for Doolotbek Choibekov, and third-place finishes for Bayaman Apilov and Yryskeldi Khamzaev. The freestyle wrestlers contributed additional medals, including silver for Aiperi Medet kyzy.

The recent ranking tournament in wrestling concluded in Tirana, where Kyrgyzstan’s Greco-Roman wrestling team achieved notable recognition by securing third place overall. This competition culminated in impressive performances by the Kyrgyz wrestlers, enhancing their reputation in the sport on an international level.

Among the highlights of the event, Razzak Beishekeev triumphed in the up to 67-kilogram category, while Yryskeldi Maksatbek uulu excelled in the up to 77-kilogram class, both winning gold medals. Doolotbek Choibekov also showcased his talent, earning a silver medal in the up to 63-kilogram category.

Furthermore, Bayaman Apilov and Yryskeldi Khamzaev achieved commendable third-place finishes in the up to 63-kilogram and up to 72-kilogram categories, respectively. In addition to the stellar performance from the Greco-Roman team, freestyle wrestlers from Kyrgyzstan also secured silver and two bronze medals, further contributing to the country’s accolades in wrestling competitions. Aiperi Medet kyzy notably added to this success, winning a silver medal in her category.
