Chinese Ambassador to Somalia Visits Banadir Hospital in Mogadishu

Chinese Ambassador Wang Yu visited Banadir Hospital in Mogadishu, established by China in the 1970s. He toured the hospital and engaged with staff and patients. Ambassador Wang highlighted the hospital’s importance in China-Somalia relations and affirmed China’s commitment to enhancing cooperation in healthcare following outcomes from the FOCAC Beijing Summit.
On February 26, H.E. Wang Yu, the Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, conducted a visit to Banadir Hospital in Mogadishu. This facility was established in the 1970s as part of China’s aid initiatives. During his visit, Ambassador Wang was accompanied by Dr. Mohamed Hassan Mohamed Bulale, the Deputy Minister of Health and Human Services, and Dr. Fartun Sharif Mohamed, the Hospital’s Director.
Ambassador Wang’s visit emphasized the enduring partnership between China and Somalia, particularly in the area of healthcare. Both parties expressed their commitment to enhancing medical cooperation and promoting the welfare of the Somali people.
