The competition will occur from March 8 to 15, and Al-Nasser indicated that the athletes are fully prepared and eager to excel.
Kuwait will participate in the 12th edition of the Special Winter Olympics, showcasing talents such as Mariam Dhiab in snowboarding and Hajar Al-Rashidi in snow running. Both athletes have completed rigorous training camps in the UAE and Egypt, benefitting from expert coaching to enhance their skills.
Hoda Al-Khaldi, the Executive Manager of Al-Tomooh Sports Club for Intellectual Disabilities, conveyed her confidence in the Kuwaiti delegation, anticipating remarkable achievements in Turin. Additionally, Dr. Ismail Habash, a specialized emergency physician supporting the team, emphasized this effort as part of the Ministry of Health’s dedication to assisting athletes with special needs.
