Kuwait Implements Major Penal Reform: Life Sentences Reduced to 20 Years

Additionally, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef has mandated the establishment of a specialized committee tasked with reviewing the cases of inmates nearing the completion of their 20-year sentences, set to commence three months prior to their term’s end. He has urged correctional leaders to efficiently compile and assess the list of eligible inmates.
