Abdulhakeem Adegoke Alawuje asserts that the Buhari-Tinubu alliance has greatly benefited Nigeria by fostering national unity and political stability. He supports Tinubu’s 2027 re-election, emphasizes the importance of safeguarding their legacy, and calls for reconciliation among Nigerians.

Abdulhakeem Adegoke Alawuje, the National Coordinator of the Tinubu Support Group, asserts that the alliance between President Muhammadu Buhari and Bola Ahmed Tinubu has significantly benefited Nigeria by establishing a strong political foundation that promotes national unity. He emphasizes that Tinubu’s campaign for re-election in 2027 is assured, and no opposing politician can disrupt this.

During a recent interview, Alawuje called upon Nigerians to embrace national cohesion and to discern between genuine democrats and self-serving politicians. He believes that history will ultimately vindicate both Buhari and Tinubu for their effort to establish a robust political coalition that has served the interests of Nigeria.

Alawuje also underscored the vital influence both leaders had on shaping Nigeria’s political arena, particularly through their alliance in 2013 which led to the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He maintained that those who truly care for Nigeria’s unity will not forgive politicians attempting to dismantle this legacy for their selfish motives.

He reflects on the significance of the collaboration between Buhari and Tinubu, highlighting its transcendence beyond personal and ethnic affiliations, and noted that it laid the groundwork for a more united, progressive Nigeria, which must be safeguarded. Alawuje recalled the loss of hope among Nigerians prior to the 2015 elections, attributing this to the failures of previous political alliances.

He further explained that the rekindled partnership between the North and South has fostered greater political stability, diminished ethnic tensions, and supported inter-ethnic relations, including marriages. Alawuje, who also leads the Disciples of Jagaba, urged Nigerians to refrain from revisiting past grievances and instead focus on reconciliation, invoking the annulment of the June 12, 1993, election as a lesson rather than a source of division.

He advocates for healing and warns against any politician seeking to undo progress, stating, “Any politician seeking to reverse the progress we have made should be considered an enemy of the nation.”

In summary, Abdulhakeem Adegoke Alawuje asserts that the alliance between Buhari and Tinubu has been instrumental in promoting national unity and political stability in Nigeria. He highlights the importance of safeguarding this legacy and encourages Nigerians to work towards reconciliation rather than division. Alawuje’s message emphasizes the need for unity and vigilance against politicians who threaten progress.
