UAE Strongly Condemns Attack on UNMISS Helicopter and South Sudan Troops

The United Arab Emirates has issued a strong condemnation regarding the attack on a United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) helicopter, as well as an assault on the South Sudan People’s Defense Forces (SSPDF) in Upper Nile State. This violent incident led to the demise of an international force member and numerous government troops, alongside injuries sustained by two crew members.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) articulated its condemnation of this attack on international forces and the SSPDF, underscoring that such actions represent a grave violation of international law principles. The UAE firmly supports the integrity and safety of international peacekeeping operations.
