Connected Minerals (ASX:CML) has engaged Namibian drilling contractor Hammerstein Drilling to initiate its inaugural reverse circulation reconnaissance drilling program at the Etango North-East and Swakopmund projects located in Namibia. This drilling program is set to commence in April and will involve a total of 33 holes, totaling 2,500 meters—2,000 meters at Etango North-East and 450 meters at Swakopmund.

The initial focus of the drilling will be on Etango North-East, where significant high-priority targets were identified following a rock chip sampling program concluded in December 2024. Following the completion of drilling at this location, operations will transition to Swakopmund, concentrating on targets revealed by a recent horizontal-loop electromagnetic survey.

CEO Warrick Clent expressed that Hammerstein Drilling’s appointment is pivotal for the company’s upcoming drilling operations slated for April. Clent noted, “The commencement of drilling will be a major milestone for Connected Minerals and will build on the encouraging targets we have identified at both projects during our field work to date.”

He further added, “We look forward to beginning drilling in April, just four months after the relisting of Connected Minerals, and anticipate strong news flow in the months ahead.” Hammerstein Drilling, based in Swakopmund, boasts extensive experience in conducting reverse circulation drilling for mining explorers in Namibia, Angola, and beyond. Connected Minerals is an Australia-based mineral explorer, primarily focused on uranium within its asset portfolio in Namibia and Western Australia.

The appointment of Hammerstein Drilling marks a significant milestone for Connected Minerals, allowing for the commencement of its drilling programs in Namibia. Focused initially on high-priority targets at Etango North-East, the operations will subsequently expand to Swakopmund. With a seasoned contractor and a strategic timeline, the company anticipates a promising flow of developments following its relisting.
