Sandvik has secured a significant contract for underground mining equipment from the Compañia de Minas Buenaventura in Peru, valued at approximately SEK 320 million. This contract, which was recorded in the first quarter of 2025, includes the provision of loaders and drills designed for use in three of Buenaventura’s mines: El Brocal, Yumpag, and Uchucchacua.
The delivery of the mining equipment is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2025, continuing through to the first quarter of 2026. Additionally, Sandvik is committed to supplying spare parts, components, and maintenance services throughout the equipment’s operational lifetime.
