In the 2025 MotoGP season’s Grand Prix of Argentina, Marc Marquez secured another victory, maintaining his flawless record. The six-time champion overcame an early error to reclaim the lead from younger brother, Alex Marquez, ultimately winning by 1.362 seconds at Termas de Rio Hondo, thus solidifying a 16-point lead in the championship standings.

Starting from pole position, Marquez initially faced challenges as he mistakenly ran wide into a corner. However, he skillfully regained the upper hand with five laps to go, marking his fourth win in Argentina. His consistent performance has earned him a perfect score of 74 points over the first two rounds of the season, further extending his championship lead.

Alex Marquez, representing Gresini Ducati, has finished second in both races conducted in Thailand and Argentina. Franco Morbidelli from VR46 achieved a notable third place, marking his first podium finish in over 1400 days. Teammate Francesco Bagnaia finished fourth, trailing by a notable margin to the race winner.

Reflecting on his performance, Marc Marquez expressed happiness about equalizing legendary racer Angel Nieto’s victory records in Grand Prix history with his 90th win. He acknowledged his initial struggles during the race but regained confidence as it progressed, emphasizing the competitive nature of racing against his brother.

During the race, Alex appeared poised for his first Grand Prix win but was overtaken by Marc in a decisive move, further demonstrating the competitive spirit of the Marquez siblings. The elite Ducati riders claimed all top five positions, underscoring the brand’s dominance since last season.

Australian rider Jack Miller experienced a disappointing race, finishing 14th after a poor start. He dropped to 16th but managed to recover slightly by the end of the race, finishing significantly behind Marquez. Looking ahead, the next round will take place in Austin, Texas, on March 28-30, 2025.
