We remain committed to ensuring peace and security for all our people.” Hegseth detailed the US stance on Yemen, indicating ongoing military operations would persist until Houthi attacks on American military forces cease and disruptions to Red Sea shipping are addressed.

He remarked, “The United States will continue to take action to protect our forces and safeguard vital shipping lanes. We do not seek escalation, but we will defend our interests if necessary.” Al-Sudani emphasized that dialogue and de-escalation are crucial for resolving Middle Eastern crises, asserting Iraq’s adherence to this principle as vital for national stability.
