Judha disclosed that the ministry is actively monitoring the situation regarding 97 individuals who had been relocated from Iran to Azerbaijan prior to their repatriation. “They are all safe in Baku,” he emphasized. The group of evacuees includes 93 Indonesian nationals, three embassy personnel, and an Iranian partner of one of the Indonesian citizens.

In light of the recent attacks, Judha reiterated the ministry’s commitment to closely follow developments, particularly after the U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, in order to determine future actions. Images released on Sunday highlight Rolliansyah Soemirat, widely known as Roy, participating in the evacuation processes. Previously, he was appointed as Indonesia’s ambassador to Iran and played a role in transporting citizens to the transit point at Astara, on the Iran-Azerbaijan border, late Saturday night.
